On the 6th day of Christmas Album Recording- VOCALS!!!

I should start by saying that I absolutely love singing in the studio. It is such an interesting ever  changing process. Each day is different and every hour takes lots of focus. Time really flies. So it's finally time for me to play at the mic, and I am more ready than ever to sing these tunes. We are starting with " Frozen Heart" a song I wrote late in the Christmas song writing game. It's not necessarily a Christmas, song, but more of a Winter song in theme. It's about the feeling of being an outsider and lonely while the rest of the world seems to be celebrating. I chose a lot of isolated imagery, and the accompaniment of simple piano and viola I think helps tell the lonely story. There have been some holidays seasons for me where I was going through some hard times and felt especially isolated. I think the holidays can be hard for people. Maybe this song could soothe some folks , knowing they aren't alone. Here is my sweet pup Barney. He is such a studio dog. He is listening from outside the booth, getting used to seeing me in the room and hearing my voice played back over and over!
