On the 1st day of Christmas Album Recording- I have one song and so many more to write

To me a  putting out a Christmas Record seems equal parts daunting as it does fun! The seed of doing a Christmas record was planted a year ago when I complete the song "Christmas Time". "Christmas Time" was originally a pretty bleak song about flocks of crows that are slowly taking over parts of Lake City in Seattle. You can see them swarming and roosting in the dusk in a really haunting way, and it inspired the line "daylight sinking out of sight, and to an end this westward flight" . Over time I decided to lose the creepy bird theme and last year I turned it into a Christmas song because of the mysterious sound of the chord changes I had written. What you have below is an unmixed sneak peak at the final version of what I wrote.
So now what? I've got one Xmas song all by itself?!  It needed to be surrounded by and entire album I decided! So I packed up my Christmas boxes this last January and got to work, continuing to write through the most unholiday- like January- April months crossing my fingers that I could channel my inner Bing Crosby. Noteworthy is the strangely warm and dry Seattle weather we had this year, not enforcing my cozy holiday efforts.
But when there is a holiday album will there is a way……..
